The CVC 1989 8- man football team made it all the way to the Southern California Championship where they faced off with St. Margarets. The game entered the fourth quarter with CVC taking a 28-21 lead after touchdowns from Zuiderveld and Atsma, but ultimately fell to St. Margarets 33-28. For a program that started just 3 years prior, this team laid the foundation for the future of the CVC football program and the move to 11-man football and the success the program enjoys today.
